Privacy
What this website collects, why, and how to switch it off. Plain version: one advertising pixel you can refuse, some first-party analytics, and — if you sign up for a live show — the details you type into that form.
This notice covers the mummysboy.com website only. The Gig mobile app is a separate thing with its own policy — see the Gig app privacy policy for anything you do inside the app. Nothing described below happens in the app.
Who we are
This site is run by Right Image Digital, which is the data controller for everything described here. For anything privacy related, including a request to see or delete your data, email isaac@rightimagedigital.com. For everything else, support@rightimagedigital.com.
You do not need an account to use this website, and we do not ask you to create one.
Advertising measurement
We run advertisements for the Gig app. To know which ones actually work, the site loads a measurement pixel from MediaGo, our advertising partner. It records that you visited, and that you tapped an App Store or Google Play button.
When it is running, MediaGo receives:
- your IP address
- your browser and device characteristics
- the page you are on and the page you came from
- the fact that you tapped a store button
It also stores cookies or similar identifiers in your browser. We do not send it your name, email address, or phone number — we do not have them.
Some US state privacy laws treat this kind of advertising measurement as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, even though no money changes hands for your data. We treat it that way, and how we ask depends on where you are:
- UK, EEA and Switzerland — the pixel does not load at all unless you accept it. Nothing is set before you choose, and Reject is exactly as easy as Accept.
- United States — it runs by default and you can opt out whenever you like using the Your privacy choices link at the bottom of any page. We also honour the Global Privacy Control browser signal automatically, and treat it as a valid opt-out.
- Anywhere else — we ask first, the same as the UK.
To work out which of those applies, the site asks our own server which country your request came from. That lookup does not involve any third party and is not stored anywhere except your own browser.
Your choice is remembered in your browser and applies across the whole site. Opting out stops the pixel loading. It changes nothing else.
Our own analytics
The Gig pages send small events to our own server so we can see whether the page works: a page view, which buttons get tapped, how far down people scroll, and when they leave. Each event carries the page path, the page you arrived from, which version of the page you were shown, a campaign code from the link you clicked, and whether your device is an iPhone, an Android, or a computer.
This is first-party — it goes to our server, not to an advertising network, and it is not used to build a profile of you or to target advertising. It does not include your name or email address, because the site never asks for them. As with any web request, our server sees your IP address.
Live show sign-ups
This is the only part of the site where you type real personal details, and only if you choose to sign up for an IRL live show. Nothing here is collected from browsing.
If you sign up to watch, we ask for your name, email address, and how many seats you want.
If you sign up to take part, we also ask for:
- your phone number, so we can reach you about day-of changes
- your age
- how you describe yourself, and who you would like to meet
- what you are looking for
- an optional note about you, and an optional Instagram handle
- your answers to the house rules, including whether you agree to appear on camera
Some of that is sensitive. Taken together, how you describe yourself and who you want to meet can reveal your sexual orientation, which UK and EU law treats as a special category of personal data and several US states treat as sensitive personal information. We ask for it because it is the whole point of matching people at a live dating show, we use it for nothing else, and you give it to us voluntarily by filling in that form. If you would rather not, come and watch instead — the spectator form does not ask.
Sign-up details are stored in our database (hosted by Supabase) and are visible only to us. They are never published on the site, sold, or shared with advertisers. The public event listings show counts only, never people. Email us and we will delete your sign-up.
What we keep in your browser
- Your privacy choice — so we do not ask again on every page. Kept until you clear your browser storage.
- Your country code — so we know which privacy rules to apply without asking our server again.
- A campaign code — if you arrived from one of our links, so a tap thirty seconds later is still credited to the right advert. Cleared when you close the tab.
- MediaGo's cookies — only if you have allowed advertising measurement.
Who else sees any of this
Netlify hosts and serves the site. Railway hosts the server our analytics and sign-ups talk to. Supabase stores show sign-ups. MediaGo receives the advertising data described above, and only with your consent where consent is required. Google Fonts serves the typefaces. We do not sell your personal information for money to anyone.
Your rights
If you are in the UK, EEA or Switzerland, you can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, and withdraw consent at any time — withdrawing is as easy as giving it, through the same footer link. Advertising measurement runs on your consent; show sign-ups run on your consent and on our need to actually put the event on. You can also complain to your data protection authority, which in the UK is the ICO.
If you are in California or another US state with a privacy law, you can ask what we collect and delete it, ask us to correct it, opt out of the sharing described above, and limit our use of sensitive information. We will not treat you differently for asking. Use the footer link to opt out, or email us for anything else.
We will not ask you to create an account to exercise any of this. We may ask you to confirm the email address you used, so that we do not hand your data to someone else.
How long we keep things
Analytics events are kept in aggregate for as long as they are useful for judging a campaign. Show sign-ups are kept until the show has happened and any follow-up is done, then deleted — or sooner, if you ask. Your privacy choice stays in your browser until you clear it.
Children
This site is not intended for children, and the live shows are for adults only. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
Changes
If what we collect changes, this page changes on the same day, and the date at the top changes with it. If the change means we need to ask you something new, we will ask again rather than assume.
